Mathematics is the base of all Engineering branches. The knowledge of basic science is essential for proper understanding applications in Engineering & Technology.
Department of Applied Sciences fulfill these requirements. Departments of Applied sciences consist of four sections viz. Engineering Mathematics, Applied Physics, Chemistry and Communication skills.
Students in the first year has to undergo teaching in all these four subjects. Therefore he remains maximum in contact with this department during first year.
As such the responsibility of conducting co - curricular & extra - curricular activities for the first year students rests with this department. Presently total 16 faculty members are working in this Dept. (Including Regular & Second Shift)
