Civil Engineering profession
retain its ancient aura even in the current era of Electronics and Computers
revolution. This Branch of Engineering touches the dire need of society, which
includes shelter water, roads, bridges, dams, tunnels, environmental pollution
and similar construction activities directly related to welfare of human being.
As long as civilization exists & grows civil engineering profession will
persist.
Civil Engineering course was
started from academic year 1983-84 The Department of Civil Engineering is
having qualified and experienced teaching staff. It is well established with
laboratories of modern equipments in surveying, engineering Mechanic strength
of materials, Concrete technology, Environmental engineering and Geotechnical
engineering. The department is having separate computer center with Pentium IV and other equipments.
Students association of the
department arranges every year various co– curricular activities for the
development of the students.
Department is having its own
departmental Library for the benefit of Civil Engineering students.
The department arranges site
visits in large number to provide knowledge of current practices to
